I listened to the speech last night. Unfortunately he used some of the same lines from last years speech. I remember him saying last year that he wanted to clean up the tax code, and give younger people the option of creating personal savings accounts or something instead of contributing fully to social security.
I hate to break it to the president, but I have a savings account setup already. I don't need the government to do it for me. Maybe he should just dump a billion dollars into the system. He has no problem funding his "War on Terror" so why can't he grow more money on a tree somewhere and place it in the Social Security fund.
Oh, and if we back out of paying into Social Security, the system will be broke much quicker.
